Role: Welder
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 06:30 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday
Hourly rate: Up to £19.10 ph DOE
Are you a skilled fabricator with a passion for precision and quality? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-focused Welder / Fitter to join our Production team in Warwick!
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for welding and fitting components to exacting standards, ensuring all work meets build specifications and quality expectations in line with BS EN ISO 9001.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out MIG and MAG welding on medium-heavy steel fabrications (2mm–10mm)
- Build and tack weld fabrications from engineering drawings
- Identify and correct visual faults in fabrications
- Promote a proactive approach to quality and team collaboration
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, using PPE appropriately
- Support team leaders with recovery programmes and continuous improvement
- Be flexible in moving between departments and learning new skills
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in MIG & MAG welding and medium-heavy steel fabrication
- Welding/fabrication qualifications and relevant training
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and build specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Self-disciplined, punctual, and reliable
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and areas
- Ability to work in confined spaces and perform occasional heavy lifting
- BSEN 287 coded welding and pendant crane operation are desirable
